Installing the software
After you have set up your machine and connected it to your computer, you must install the printer software.
The printer-specific print driver is available for download from the printer support website. Download the
driver, and then use the Microsoft Add Printer tool to install it.

Go to 123.hp.com to download the HP Easy Start.

Enter your printer’s model number.

Follow the instructions to complete the setup.

• A locally connected machine is a machine directly attached to your computer using the cable.
If your machine is attached to a network, skip the following steps below and go on to installing a
network connected machine’s driver.
• When using HP UPD, only a network connection is supported. Due to constraint of USB bi-
directional communication, USB connection is not supported.
Only use a USB cable no longer then 3 meters (118 inches).
