Display assembly
To remove and disassemble the display assembly, use these procedures and illustrations.
NOTE: The display assembly is spared at the subcomponent level. For display assembly spare part
information, see the individual removal subsections.
Before removing the display panel, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 24).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 32).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Removing and reinstalling the same
battery on page 25).
Remove the display assembly:
1. Remove the plastic protector (1) that covers the antenna connectors on the WLAN module.
2. Disconnect the antenna cables (2) from the WLAN module.
3. Remove the antenna cables from the clips (3) along the top of the computer.
4. Disconnect the camera cable (4) from the ZIF connector.
5. Disconnect the display cable (5) from the ZIF connector.
