2. Remove the heat sink (2).
3. Each time the heat sink is removed, thoroughly clean and replace the thermal material from the
surface of the processor on the system board. Replacement thermal material is included with the
heat sink and system board spare part kits.
To install the heat sink, reverse this procedure.
When installing a heat sink, be sure to install a thermal pad at the location shown in the following
illustration.
