1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 39).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 39).
3. Remove the battery (see Removing and reinstalling the same battery on page 33).
4. Remove the solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 40).
5. Remove the WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 43).
Remove the system board:
1. Disconnect the following cables from the system board:
● Display cable (ZIF) (1)
● Speaker cable (2)
● Touchpad cable (ZIF) (3)
● Keyboard cable (ZIF) (4)
● Backlight cable (ZIF) (5)
● Power connector (6)
● Fan cable (7)
● Fingerprint reader cable (ZIF) (8) from the fingerprint reader
NOTE: The fingerprint reader cable connects to the bottom of the system. You must remove
the system board to replace the cable.
● Peel the fingerprint reader cable off the computer (9)
● USB board cable (ZIF) (10) from the USB board
NOTE: The USB board cable connects to the bottom of the system. You must remove the
system board to replace the cable.
● Peel the USB cable off the computer (11)
