Before removing the USB board, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 39).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 39).
3. Remove the battery (see Removing and reinstalling the same battery on page 33).
Remove the USB board:
1. Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector on the USB board (1).
NOTE: To replace the USB board cable, you must remove the system board.
2. Remove the three Phillips M2.5 × 5.0 screws (2) from the display hinge.
3. Rotate the hinge up and off the USB board (3).
4. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screw (4) and the Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screw (5) that secures the USB
board.
5. Remove the USB board from the computer (6).
To install the USB board, reverse this procedure.
