PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Runs but not
cooling
Poor room insulation
from the outside heat,
or a window or door is
opened.
Close windows and doors, and check for heat entering
through poorly insulated windows, wall cracks, or
vents.
The dust filter is dirty. Clean the dust filter.
The hose is detached or
not secured properly on
the window kit.
Ensure the hose is securely attached to both the AC
unit and window kit. Seal any gaps in the window kit
to prevent warm air from entering.
Temperature setting is
too high.
Reduce temperature setting.
Air outlet or intake is
blocked.
Remove blockage.
Room is too big for the air
conditioner.
Move unit to smaller room.
Sunlight and/or heat
sources in the room
causing unit to work
harder to cool.
Keep windows shaded from sunlight and turn off heat
sources such as ovens, kettles, computers and lights.
Water is leaking
from the air
conditioner.
Internal Water Tank is
full.
Drain the tank.
The upper or lower drain
outlet is clogged or the
drain plug or continuous
drain tube is not secured
tightly.
Remove any blockages and secure drain plugs to
stop any leakages.
Room humidity is too
high causing tank to fill
faster than usual.
Drain more frequently or use the air conditioner in
dehumidifier mode.
Uneven surface causing
overflow.
Ensure unit is on a flat and balanced surface.
