ICE COMPARTMENT (AUTOMATIC ICE MAKER)
Ice storage capacity and time required to make ice
Note
●
It will take extra time to make ice in the following cases.
・First time use (it may take 24 hours or more)
・When the Freezer Compartment temperature is set to “

・
When a large amount of food is put into the refrigerator at once
・When the refrigerator is set to “Save Mode”
・When the doors are opened and closed frequently
・
When the Freezer Compartment or Ice Compartment doors are left partially open
・When the ambient temperature is low such as in winter
・When there is a power outage

Quick Ice Making Stop Ice Making
Ice build-up in one place can stop ice making even when the ice level is low.

To make more ice, move the ice to the front and level it off.

When “Auto Ice On” or “Quick Ice” is set, do not put anything other than ice made by the automatic ice
maker in the ice storage space, such as frozen foods or the ice scoop. It will not be possible to make ice.
(It may prevent the ice from forming as parts of the ice maker may be obstructed by the food obstructing.)
Open and close the door of the Ice Compartment slowly.

f you open or close it vigorously, ice may spill from the ice case and fall into the Lower Freezer.

Water supply indicator
When the water level is low in the water supply tank, the
indicator lits. Add water to the water supply tank.
When the left door of the refrigerator compartment is opened or closed, the
indicator turns off once. It lights up again if water is not added. (Up to 3 hours later)
Note
The
indicator does not light when the automatic ice maker is “Auto Ice Off” .
If there is water in the water supply tank but the water supply tank is not pushed in firmly, the
indicator will light up. Push in the water supply tank so that it passes the “Container set position” line.
Even when “Auto Ice On” is activated, the indicator may not light when the Ice Case is full.

All indicator lamps are activated, and then the current settings are displayed.
You can make ice in a shorter time than normal ice making.
“Quick Ice” finishes in about 7 hours, and
the ice maker switches back to “Auto Ice On”.
12 ice cubes are made by one ice-making operation.
While “Quick Ice” is operating, the “Quick Ice” display continues
to light. Also, the “Eco operation indicator lamp” does not light up.

While “Quick Ice Making” is operating, cooling for the freezer compartment
is given priority, so the temperature of the refrigerator compartment is likely
to increase when the doors are opened and closed frequently.

Ice pack, coffee beans and tea-leaves, etc.
Otherwise, the door may not close properly, and the refrigerator may not be cooling enough.
Furthermore, the stored food and the case may be damaged.
Store foods according to those types and sizes.
Use the upper edge of the case as a guide for the height of the foods to be stored.
Store foods so that those do not touch the partition.

If you put a warm item such as hot food in the storage space, the ice in the ice storage space may melt and/or it may take a long time to make ice.
If too many ices are stored, ices may drop from the small items storage space and those may fall down to the Lower Freezer.
