Cleaning the dirty tank
Cleaning the dirty tank and attach to the wet accessories.
Empty the dirty tank before it exceeds "FULL" (indicator line).
If it exceeds “ ---- FULL ”, water and dirt cannot be sucked back
into the dirty tank.
We recommend periodic cleaning or emptying the dirty tank
after using.
Remove the dirty tank and emptying the dirty water.
Push the button and
remove the dirty tank
Cleaning the wet accessories
Maintaining the wet nozzle (Only PV-XHW4P)
Remove attached dust and debris
Remove tangled dust and debris
Perform maintenance when suction power is weak or when dirt becomes a concern.
We recommend periodic maintenance (at least once a month).
Dust and debris stuck to the rotary brush, brushes, wheels, air inlet, and rotating sections might cause reductions
in suction power or malfunctions.
Maintaining the Water drain nozzle in good condition to prevent scale buildup and water leakage inside.
Remove the attached dust and debris by using the 2-way crevice nozzle or other tools.
Remove tangled dust and debris using tweezers, etc.
Remove dust and debris tangled in
the wheels and shaft using tweezers
or other tools.
Remove dust and debris tangled in
the rotary brush by using clean brush
or other tools.

Note
Do not subject the safety switch to excessive force. Failure to do so might cause damage.
Risk of damage to the floor
If dust and debris gets tangled in the wheels, the wheels cannot rotate, which might cause
wear and tear and floor damage.
After extended use, the brushes, wheels, and rotary brush might wear down. Using the power
head while they are worn out might damage the floor. You cannot replace the brushes or
wheels by yourself. Please contact a Hitachi authorized service agent to have the brushes,
wheels, and rotary brush replaced as a set.

Before performing maintenance, detach the wet nozzle from the vacuum cleaner.
