SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
General safety information for the use of electrical devices:
To avoid injury caused by re or electric shock, please
consider following the safety instructions while using this
device. Please read the instructions carefully and make
sure to understand them well. Keep the manual near the
equipment for reading it at any time. Always use current
sources that are connected to the ground and that provide
the necessary voltage (this information is located on the
device’s label). If you have any doubts, let an electrician
check that your outlet is properly grounded. Never use
a damaged power cable. Do not open the unit in damp
or wet environment or if your hands or body are damped
or wet. Protect the equipment from solar radiation. Use
the device in a protected location to avoid damaging the
equipment or endangering others. Make sure the device
cools down and avoid placing it close to other devices that
produce heat. Before cleaning the device, disconnect it
from the power source. Use a soft damp cloth for cleaning.
Avoid using detergents and make sure that no liquid enters
the equipment. No internal element of this device needs
maintenance from the user. Opening the device without
approval leads to a loss of warranty!

1. Please read and understand the instructions carefully
before operating the device! Please observe carefully
the safety guidelines to prevent damages due to
improper use!
2. Please keep this manual available for future
reference. In case the device is passed to a third
party, the manual must be passed.
3. The device should only be used in accordance with
its designated use.
4. We do not oer any warranty for damages resulting
from improper use or incorrect operation.
5. Before the rst use, check whether the main voltage
and current comply with the indicated information
on the type plate.
6. This device is not intended to be operated by people
(including children) with limited physical, sensory or
mental capacities, as well as with lack of experience
and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by
a responsible person for their safety or if they have
received instructions of how to operate the equipment.

illustration purposes only and in some details, they
may dier from the actual ones in machine.

7. ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD! Do not attempt to repair
the equipment by yourself. In case of device’s failures,
reparations must be done by experts.
8. Please check regularly the main plug and the power
cable. If the power cable is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or customer service or
another qualied person in order to prevent hazards.
9. Avoid squeezing, bending or rubbing the power
cable on sharp edges the power cable in order to
prevent damages. And also keep the power cable
away from hot surfaces and open ames.
10. CAUTION! DANGER TO LIFE! While cleaning the
equipment, never immerse the device in water or
liquids.
11. Under no circumstances should the housing be
opened. It is forbidden to interfere with the structure
of the device in order to change its parameters or
construction.
12. It is forbidden to use the device if damaged or
defective.
13. Pay attention to device cutting elements.
14. When in use, keep your hands away from the blades.
15. Do not use the machine without the cover (doesn’t
concern HT-HOWSON-18SE).
16. To prevent injuries, always be careful with the
maintenance of the device, particularly with the
maintenance of the blades.
17. When cleaning or servicing the device take into
consideration all possible hazards-residual Risks.
18. If a twig becomes jammed when in use, immediately
switch o the device and carefully clear the jam.
19. If working with the device outdoors, make sure to
use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use.
Using an extension cord suitable for outdoor use
reduces the risk of electric shock.
20. If using the device in a damp environment cannot
be avoided, a residual current device (RCD) should
be applied. The use of an RCD reduces the risk of
electric shock.
21. To prevent the device from accidentally switching on,
make sure the switch is on the OFF position before
connecting to a power source.
22. Do not use the device if the ON/OFF switch does not
function properly (does not switch the device on and
o). Devices which cannot be switched on and o
using the ON/OFF switch are hazardous, should not
be operated and must be repaired.
23. Do not leave this appliance unattended while it is in
use.

AREAS OF APPLICATION
The device is designed for removing leaves from freshly cut
branches of various kinds.
The user is responsible for any damage resulting from
non-intended use of the device.
BERORE THE FIRST USE
Upon receipt of the goods, check the package integrity
before opening it. If the packaging is damaged, please
contact your carrier company and distributor within 3 days,
and document the damages as detailed as possible. Do not
turn the package upside-down! In case of transporting the
package, please kept it always horizontal and stable.
DISPOSING OF PACKAGING
Please keep all packaging materials (cardboard, plastic
tapes and Styrofoam), so in case of a problem, the device
can be sent back to the service centre in accurate condition!
