Dear Customer,
Congratulations on purchasing your HENDI waste bin. For
best user experience, please refer to the instructions for use
below.
OPERATION AND SAFETY OF USE
• Waste bin are intended for storage purposes only.
The location of waste bin should be hygienic. Be sure to emp-
ty waste bin frequently to prevent odours and to prevent the
possibility of chewing.
When using waste bin, care must be taken to ensure that
containers are not in a wet environment. Constant contact of
the basket with moisture can contribute to the formation of
deposits on the surface of steel and rust.
Any mechanical damage (crushing, scratches) to the contain-
er may result in deferred rust formation.
The waste bin should be filled with up to
3
4
full capacity waste.
This will make it easier to empty.
Use of trash bags is recommended. Direct contact of the con-
tainer with moist or chemical waste may result in damage to
the container surface.
Baskets that are intended for external use must not be ex-
posed to salt based ice dissolving agents.
Eco baskets – Selective waste segregation containers should
be used as intended – note the stickers on the baskets and
segregate the waste as instructed. We place the waste in the
Eco baskets through the hole in the lid or by lifting the lid
without the hole.
Pedal Baskets with Inner Cup – Pedal baskets are for internal
use only. The lid of the basket is activated by pressing the but-
ton at the bottom of the basket. If the lid does not change po-
sition when you press the button, lift the lid of the basket with
your hand and adjust the position of the inner pail so that the
metal pail holder is at the back of the basket. NOTE! Do not
use increased force when pressing the Foot Pedal button if
the lid is locked. This will only damage the pedal mechanism.
Ashtray Basket – When using an ashtray basket, pay special
attention to ensure that the discarded cigarette butts are ex-
tinguished. Place ashtrays away from flammable materials
and chemicals. To empty the butt box, remove the basket lid
and invert the container so that the contents are at the bot-
tom of the basket. Replace the lid after emptying the con-
tainer. NOTE! Under no circumstances should a container be
emptied if there are still butts in the container.
Skull Baskets – Skull baskets have a flip-flop lid. Hold the
flap with one hand when placing the waste in the shell bas-
kets. The flap has a spring mechanism that makes it difficult
to pull out the scrap as well as the hand if the flap is not held
(locked) with the other hand.
Child Use - NOTE! The basket is not a toy! Due to the pos-
sibility of bodily injury (laceration, pinching and the like), or
ingestion of small parts, the use of waste bin by children is
prohibited. Do not place trash receptacles in children’s areas
due to the possibility of gastrointestinal tract debris.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Containers and their components made of polished and satin
stainless steel – clean the surface with a soft cloth or sponge
soaked in a stainless steel care product. Wipe with a dry cloth
after washing to prevent stains.
Containers and varnished parts – clean the surface with a
soft cloth or sponge soaked in dishwashing liquid or gel. Wipe
with a dry cloth after washing to prevent stains.
