5. Remove the thumb nut from one side of the hinge pin.
6. Remove the hinge pin from the hinges on both waffle
plates. Note how the waffle plate hinges are positioned
together for reassembly.

Swivel Models
Use the following procedure to remove swivel waffle plates for
cleaning.
CAUTION
BURN HAZARD: Allow unit to cool before performing any
cleaning, adjustments, or maintenance .
1. Turn the Temperature Control fully counterclockwise to the
“off” position, unplug the power cord, and allow the unit to
cool.
2. Disconnect the detachable power cord from the control box
mounted to the top waffle plate.
3. Lift the entire waffle maker off of the stand.
4. Remove the top heating element assembly.
a. Using a hex screwdriver, remove the two hex screws
from the top element cover.

b. Lift the top element cover and control box off of the top
waffle plate and set aside. The power coils still will be
attached between the control box and both element
assemblies.
c. Remove the four, recessed Phillips-head screws from
the top heating element assembly, one on each corner.
d. Lift the top heating element assembly off of the top waffle
plate and set aside with the top element cover.

5. Flip over the waffle plates so that the bottom heating
element assembly is exposed.
