■ The air must not be discharged into a

ﬂue that is used for exhausting fumes

from appliances burning gas or oth

er fuels (not applicable to appliances

that only discharge the air back into

the room).

■ Never attach the exhaust hood to a

ventilation shaft, chimney or smoke

stack! The air being extracted must

not travel through a channel in which

warm air circulates. The extracted air

may only be released to the outside

through a separate air duct intended

exclusively for the exhaust hood.

NOTICE

Risk of damage to property!

Improper handling of the appliance

can lead to damage to property.

■ For exhaust air operation, a wall or

ceiling break of at least 15.5 cm in di

ameter is required.

■ We recommend having a specialist

(electrician) carry out this break (core

drilling).

■ If the exhaust air hose passes

through an exterior wall, the air out

let on the outside must have a cover

with self-opening slits (not included

in the package contents). Hire a spe

cialist to carry out the wall break.

■ Consider the following: The shorter

and straighter the exhaust hose, the

more powerful the hood function will

be.

■ In Germany, statutory requirements

for extracting exhaust air vary from

state to state. Ask your district chim

ney sweep for advice.

■ Regulations concerning the discharge

of air have to be fulﬁlled.
