Malfunction
Problem Possible causes Solutions, tips
Water is not being
pumped.
Water drain hose is blocked or
kinked.
Check water drain hose; if necessary,
dismantle and realign.
The lint trap is clogged. Clean lint trap.
Water is draining
even though the
appliance is not
pumping.
Water drain hose is attached in
a way that is too low.
Attach the water drain hose higher up.
Water is running
out (appliance is
‘leaking’).
Inlet or outlet hose is not
screwed on tightly enough.
Screw the water inlet or outlet hose
tighter.
Lint trap not closed properly. Properly close the lint trap.
Appliance is
unsteady or
vibrating strongly.
Transport safety device(s) was
not/were not removed.
Remove the transport safety device(s).
Appliance was not installed or
aligned properly.
Install or align appliance properly (see
“Installation site”).
The laundry in the drum is
heavy or distributed unevenly.
Stop washing and restart to distribute
the laundry more evenly (see “Adding
laundry”).
Spin cycle is not
running or is slow.
The imbalance correction
system for imbalanced drum
loads is running.
No error. Once the laundry is
distributed evenly, the spin cycle starts
automatically.
During the wash
cycle, no water
can be seen in the
drum through the
glass panel.
This is not an error. The water is at the bottom of the drum.
The appliance door
cannot be opened
after the wash
cycle has finished.
This is not an error. The opening mechanism contains a safety device
that keeps the appliance door closed for approx. 2 minutes after the end
of the wash cycle.
