Installing the transport safety
devices
• Reinsert the transport safety devices (13)
before each transportation Washer-dryer.
For this purpose, follow the steps de-
scribed above in the reverse sequence.
Setting up the appliance
– Place the appliance in a frost-proof,
well-ventilated room.
– Place the appliance far away from heaters
that burn oil or coal.
– Set up the appliance in a place where there
is a bathtub or sink.
– Set up the appliance so that the mains plug
is easily accessible, even after the appli-
ance has been set up.
– Set up the appliance on a firm, flat, clean,
and dry surface.
– Do not place the appliance on a carpet or
rug. The appliance will then not be suffi-
ciently ventilated, and may overheat.
– Place a sturdy wooden panel (at least 60 ×
60 cm, 3 cm thick), under the appliance if
you are installing it on parquet or a wooden
beam floor.
– Rubber mats are not suitable and must not
be used.
– Position the appliance so that it is at least 2
cm away from side walls and the rear wall.
– The appliance feet must not be removed.
– When placing it on a base or other eleva-
tion, appropriate measures must be taken
to protect the appliance from falling. These
measures must not damage the appliance.
Aligning the appliance

1. Manually screw or unscrew each foot
until the washing machine is horizontally
aligned.
2. Twist the lock nuts (29) of all screw-on
feet upwards to the underside of the ap-
pliance and tighten the lock nut against
the underside of the appliance.
