■ Independent or improper repairs
made to the appliance may cause
damage to property and personal in

jury; any liability and warranty claims
will be forfeited. Never try to repair
the appliance yourself.
■ Inspections and repairs to the appli

ance may only be carried out by au-
thorised specialists. Please contact
our service department if necessary
(see “Service” on PageEN-24).
■ Only parts corresponding to the orig

inal appliance specifications may be
used for repairs.
■ Never open the housing.
■ In the event of a fault as well as be
-
fore extensive cleaning pull out the
mains plug or isolate/unscrew the
fuse.
■ Do not put any objects in or through
the housing openings, and ensure
that children cannot insert any ob
-
jects into them.
■ Check the appliance regularly for
damage.
Safety when handling heat-
generating appliances
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
The appliance and its accessible parts
become hot during use. Care should be
taken to avoid touching heating ele
-
ments.
■ Do not touch hot parts. Always protect
hands with oven gloves or pot holders
when working on the hot appliance.
Only use dry oven gloves or pothold
-
ers. Wet textiles are better heat con-
ductors and can cause steam burns.
CAUTION
Fire hazard!
Improper handling when operating the
appliance can lead to fire.
■ Do not connect to a multi-socket ex
-
tension cable or a multi-socket plug.
■ Note that the appliance is not in
-
tended to be operated by means of
an external timer or a separate re
-
mote-control system.
■ If you are preparing food with alco
-
hol, do not leave the cooker unat-
tended! The food may spontaneously
ignite.
■ Do not cover the appliance with blan
-
kets, cloths or similar because these
objects may become hot and catch
fire.
■ The appliance must not be operated
near hot gas or electric flames.
■ If a fire starts, immediately set all con
-
trol dials to “0” or “OFF” and switch
off the automatic circuit breakers
and/or unscrew the fuses. To extin
-
guish the fire, use a suitable fire extin-
guisher with the designation “F” or a
fire blanket.
■ Once the fire has been extinguished,
have the appliance checked by our
Service Centre.
