The appliance
doesn’t cool
sufficiently.
Temperature has been
set too high.
Select a lower setting (see “Setting the
temperature” on page EN-18).
Door not tightly closed
or door seal is not
completely tight.
See “Checking and cleaning the door seals” on
page EN-25.
The appliance is near a
heat source.
Place insulation plate between the appliances
or change location.
Food has been stored
warm.
Only store cooled foods.
Too many goods frozen. Do not exceed the maximum freezing capacity
(see “Technical specifications” on page EN-33).
Thick ice layer in the
freezer.
Defrost the freezer (see “Defrosting and
cleaning the inner compartment” on
page EN-26).
Ambient temperature
too low or too high.
Adjust ambient temperature (see “Intended
use” on page EN-4).
Compressor seems
defective.
Set the temperature controller to “7”. If the
compressor does not switch on within an hour,
please contact our Service department (see
page EN-30).
Water has
accumulated
in the fridge
compartment at
the bottom.
The defrost drain is
blocked.
Unblock the defrost drain with the help of
the supplied cleaning tool (see “Defrosting
and cleaning the inner compartment” on
page EN-26).
Appliance is
making a noise.
Operating noises are
functional and are not a
sign of malfunction.
Quiet humming: Refrigeration unit is running.
Humming: Refrigerant is flowing through the
pipes.
Clicking: The compressor is switching on or off.
Noises caused by
vibration.
Check that it is stable.
Remove any objects from the appliance.
Remove any foreign matter from the back of
the appliance.
