Using and caring for the hob

Automatic safety switch-off
If excessively high temperatures are reg-
istered inside the hob housing, the hob will
switch off automatically for security reasons.
Additional functions
The hob is equipped with additional functions:
Cooking
• To switch on the cooking function, touch
the cooking function sensor
(15).

” will appear on the display.
Melting
• To switch on the melting function, touch
the melting function sensor
(14).
“
''
” will appear on the display.
Boiling
• To switch on the boiling function, touch
the boiling function sensor
(13).
“
'''
” will appear on the display.
You can switch off the additional function by
touching the corresponding cooking zone
sensor (7) and setting a new heat level.
Locking function (child safety
function)
The locking function is intended to prevent
the following situations:
– unauthorised or unintentional changes be-
ing made to the settings of the active cook-
ing zones;
– unauthorised or unintentional switching off
of the hob.
To
• turn on the function, touch the key lock
sensor (8) for a few seconds.
The “
Lo
” indicator will flash.
• turn the function off, press the key lock
sensor for a few seconds.
The “
Lo
” indicator will go out.
If the safety lock is switched on, all sen-
sors apart from the On/Off sensor (12)
are locked. If required, you can switch off the hob
at any time using the On/Off sensor .
Using the appliance as a
kitchen timer
You can use the appliance’s timer function as
a kitchen timer. In this case, set the time with-
out selecting a cooking zone.
– The hob and at least one cooking zone
must be switched on.
– The cooking zone must not flash any
longer.
1. Touch the Plus sensor (10).
The timer indicator will flash and show the
value “
00
”.
2. To set the desired time, press the Plus
sensor or the Minus sensor (9).
After 5 seconds, the timer indicator will be
constantly illuminated and will count down
the set time.
Once the set time has elapsed, a beep will
sound and the timer indicator will show “
– –
”.

3. To switch off the timer function in the in-
terim, touch the minus sensor and set
the time to “
00
” by continuing to press the
Minus sensor
.
The timer indicator will flash and then light
up constantly with “
– –
”.
