Dishwasher operation
Before getting started
• Read the ‘Safety’ chapter from page EN-4,
in particular the safety notices.
• Set up and connect the appliance as de-
scribed in the “Installation, connection
and initial commissioning” chapter from
page EN-11.
• Refill dishwasher detergents, rinse aids
and dishwasher salts or multitabs.
Preparation
1. Open the tap completely.
2. Press the
button (1) to switch the ap-
pliance on.
You will hear a beep, and the display and
all indicators will illuminate briefly.
Protecting the environment
– The ECO programme is the most efficient
programme for cleaning normally soiled
dishes in terms of combined energy and
water consumption.
– The best washing and drying results are
achieved by using special salt and rinse
aid separately. When using combined de-
tergents, the program adjusts automati-
cally and this can lead to higher energy
consumption.
– If you keep to the maximum specified ca-
pacity when loading your appliance and
you arrange the dishes correctly, energy
and water can be saved (see „Loading the
dishwasher“ on page EN-24).
– Manual pre-rinsing of the dishes leads
to higher water and energy consumption
and is not recommended.
– Cleaning dishes in your appliance gen-
erally uses less energy and water than
washing by hand, provided you follow the
instructions in the user manual.
– The appliance has a water tank which col-
lects water with each dishwasher cycle.
The water is automatically drained from
the water tank every time the appliance is
switched on after it has been reconnected
to the power supply. “---” is shown on the
display and all programme indicators light
up for several seconds.
Selecting and starting the
dishwashing programme
It is recommended that you carry out a
test run before the first dishwasher cy-
cle in order to remove residues from the
manufacturing process and in order to en-
sure that the appliance functions perfectly.
Carry out this test run when the dishwasher
is empty and without any dishwasher deter-
gent.
1. Select the suitable dishwashing pro-
gramme based on the “Programme ta-
ble”; see page EN-27.
2. Press the
button (2) repeatedly until
the display (11) shows the desired pro-
gramme duration (9).
3. Press the
button (8) to start the dish-
washing programme.
During the programme cycle, the two dots
between the hours and the minutes will
flash on the display.
4. When the programme is finished, a beep
will sound eight times.
Now turn off the water tap and press the
button (1) to switch off the appliance.
5. Continue with „Unloading the dishwash-
er“ on page EN-32.
