Care and maintenance
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
The appliance and its accessible parts
become hot during use. Touching can
cause burns.
n
Allow the oven to cool completely be-
fore cleaning.
n
Never pour water directly onto the hot
oven. The steam produced can cause
scalding and damage to the enamel.
n
Allow hot water from the oven to cool
before pouring it out.
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Improper cleaning may lead to damage.
n
Do not use sharp, abrasive cleaning or
scouring agents, steel sponges, metal
scrapers, oven sprays, steam or high-
pressure cleaners for cleaning! They
can damage the surface and destroy
the glass.
n
High-pressure cleaners can cause a
short circuit.
Cleaning the housing surface
After cooling, clean the surfaces thor-
oughly with warm soapy water or all-pur-
pose cleaner.
For stainless steel surfaces, you can
also use special care products for stain-
less steel surfaces.
Cleaning the cooking
compartment
To clean, only turn on the oven light.
If possible, clean the cooking compart-
ment and the baking tray after each use
with warm soapy water.
Clean the door seal in the same way,
but be very careful as it is only attached
in certain places, and is otherwise loose.
Cleaning the hob
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
Improper handling may lead to burns.
n
Allow the cooking zones to cool com-
pletely before cleaning. Exception:
You want to remove sugary or starchy
food residue, plastics or aluminium
foil.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
Improper handling of the appliance may
result in damage.
n
For cleaning purposes, do not use any
harsh cleaning agents, scouring
powders, steel wool, oven sprays,
high-pressure or steam cleaners! They
can damage the surface. High-pres-
sure cleaners can cause a short cir-
cuit.
Clean and maintain the hob regularly
with a special care product containing a
special impregnating oil for glass
ceramic hobs. Such products can be
found in specialist shops.
Surface stains not permanently burnt in
After the appliance has cooled, use a
damp cloth with no cleaning agent to
wipe away dirt. Then dry the surface
with a soft cloth to prevent lime stains.
You can easily remove light stains hav-
ing a pearlescent colour (aluminium
residues, such as from aluminium foil)
using a commercially available deter-
gent that is specifically available for
such cleaning.
