Operation
Requirements for safe use
– You have read the chapter ‘Safety’.
– Place and connect the unit as described
in the section "Installing, connecting and
start-up".
– The oven has been installed and con-
nected as described in the chapter "In-
stalling, connecting and start-up".
– You have carried out a basic cleaning,
as described in chapter "Cleaning before
use".
The right oven cookware
– Pots with heat-resistant handles, recog-
nisable by the marking "temperature-
resistant up to 280 °C".
– Fire-resistant moulds made of glass,
porcelain, ceramics and clay or cast
iron.
– In particular, ovens with top and bottom
heat need moulds and sheets with good
heat transfer, preferably made of black-
lacquered metals. In it, cakes turn partic-
ularly well brown.
– Aluminium sheets, with or without coat-
ing, also yield good results.
Proper handling of the oven
CAUTION
Fire hazard!
Improper handling when operating the
appliance can lead to fire.

Only ever operate the oven with the
oven door closed.
n
In case of an oven fire: Turn off/re-
move the fuse, and do not open the
oven door until the fire is extinguished.
n
NEVER try to extinguish a fire with
water, but switch off the appliance and
then cover flame e.g. with a lid or a
fire blanket.
n
Once the fire has been extinguished,
have the appliance checked by our
Service department.
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Pent-up heat can damage the oven’s
enamel.
n
Never place sheets or aluminium foil
directly on the bottom of the cooking
compartment.
n
If you wish to place dishes directly on
the bottom of the cooking compart-
ment, the oven temperature must not
exceed 50°C. Be careful when hand-
ling cookware, as the enamel can be
easily scratched.
Baking tray and dripping pan
The supplied baking tray (22) and dripping
pan (23) both have an angled edge. Please
ensure that this edge is facing forward on
being placed in the oven.
Setting the time
You must set the time when using the oven
for the first time or after a longer power cut.
The display (9) flashes.
– Press the + (12) or - (10) buttons to set
the system time.
You can set the system time in minutes
from 0:00 to 23:59.
Holding down the + or - button for a longer
period increases the speed of the setting.
If no further input is made after 5 seconds,
the set time is automatically confirmed. You
can confirm the time manually by pressing
the program button (11).
Switching the oven on/off
As soon as a power supply has been con-
nected, the oven will be in standby mode.
