4. Close the rinse aid dispenser cover
again.
Changing the rinse aid dose
We would recommend that you do not
change the dosage of “4 ”that was set by
the factory initially.
If the dishes are
– matt and stained after cleaning, increase
the dose.
– sticky and streaky, you should decrease
the dose.
1. Turn on the appliance by pressing the
“On/Off” button (1).
2. Press and hold the “Programme selec-
tion” button (2) for at least 5 seconds
immediately after powering on.
3. Release the “Programme selection” but-
ton when "rA" is displayed.
Next, the last rinse aid setting is dis-
played.
4. Press the “Programme selection” button
to adjust the desired dose of rinse aid.
5. Save the last dose of rinse aid selected
by turning off the dishwasher with the
“On/Off” button.
Adding dishwasher salt
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
You may damage the dishwasher and its
stainless steel surface, its seals and fil-
ters by using dishwasher salt in an im-
proper manner.

Only use dishwasher salt which is suit-
able for dishwashers.
n
Always wipe away split dishwasher
salt immediately with a damp cloth.
n
Immediately after adding the dish-
washer salt, launch a dishwashing
programme.
Dishwasher salt is a special salt designed
to reduce water hardness. This helps pre-
vent limescale deposits in the appliance
and on dishes.
You do not need to add dishwasher
salt to the dishwasher salt compart-
ment
– if you are only using multitabs
which already contain dish-
washer salt,
– if the water hardness in your
area is in the 0–5° dH range.
Add dishwasher salt:
– prior to using the appliance for the first
time,
– if the indicator "Add dishwasher salt"
lights up in the display.
1. Take out the upper dish rack (23) and
pull the lower dish rack (25) all the way
forward so that the dishwasher salt
compartment (27) is accessible.

2. Turn the cover of the dishwasher salt
compartment in an anticlockwise direc-
tion and remove it.
3. Upon first use: Add 1.5 l of water to the
dishwasher salt compartment to prevent
the dishwasher salt from clumping.
4. Place the filling funnel supplied over the
dispenser opening.
