2. Press and hold the “Programme selec-
tion” button (2) for at least 3 seconds
immediately after powering on.
3. Release the “Programme selection” but-
ton when "SL" is displayed.
Next, the last hardness setting is dis-
played.
4. Press the “Programme selection” button
to adjust to the desired hardness level.
Each time the “Programme selection”
button is pressed, the degree of hard-
ness is increased. When hardness level
L6 has been reached, the next press
sets the hardness level back to L1.
5. Save the last selected water hardness
level by turning off the appliance with
the On/Off button.
Automatic regeneration
In order to make sure that the water soften-
ing system works, the water softening sys-
tem is automatically regenerated at regular
intervals.
The regeneration process of your appliance
begins with the drying cycle. The water and
energy consumption then increases and
the duration of the programme is extended.
There is no regeneration process in the
short programme.
The frequency of the regeneration process
depends on the selected water hardness:

Example ECO Programme: If the water
hardness level is L3 and under laboratory
conditions, the duration of the programme
increases by 4 minutes. The energy con-
sumption increases by 0.02kWh and the
water consumption by 2.0 litres.
Test run
It is recommended that you carry out a test
run before the first dishwasher cycle in or-
der to remove residues from the manufac-
turing process and to ensure that the
device is fully functional.
If no water escapes during the test run and
if there are no unusual noises, the appli-
ance is ready to use.
Carry out this test run when the dishwasher
is empty and without any dishwasher deter-
gent.
