The oven

• After you have selected the heating meth-
od, set the desired oven temperature
using the temperature controller (13). The
oven can be set from 50 °C to 250 °C.
This means that the oven is switched off.
Hot steam can escape from the extraction
hood (14).
Oven light
(8)
The red oven light (8) will illuminate as soon
as you have selected a heating method and
set the temperature. It will light up while the
oven is heating up and/or re-heating. Once it
goes out, the set oven temperature has been
reached.
The red temperature light goes on and off re-
peatedly during the entire cooking time.

Improper handling of the appliance

■ Only use the oven light to light up the
cooking compartment. It is not suita
-
ble for lighting a room.
• Set the function switch to the lamp sym-
bol to illuminate the oven.
• The lighting will also switch on as soon as
you open the oven door.

Switching off the oven
1. Turn the temperature controller (13)
anti-clockwise to “0”.
The red oven light (8) goes out.
2. Turn the function switch (12) back to “0”.
The oven light and the yellow power indi-
cator light (9) switch off.
Special defrosting information
WARNING
Health hazard!
Defrosting meat, poultry or fish in the
oven can cause dangerous microorgan
-
isms (such as salmonella) to multiply
rapidly, thereby increasing the risk of
food poisoning.
■ Do not defrost meat, poultry and fish
in the oven.
■ Only use the defrosting function to
defrost vegetables, pre-cooked food,
etc.
