3. Safety Notes
• Protect the product from dirt, moistureand overheating, andonly use
it in adry environment.
• Do not use the product in areas wherethe useofelectronic devices is
not permitted.
• Do not drop the product and do not exposeitto anymajor shocks.
• Do not put the product near interference elds, metal frames,
computers, TVs, etc. Electronic devices and window frames can
negatively affect the product’sfunctionality.
• Do not modify the product in any way.Doing sovoids thewarranty.
• Keep the packaging materialout of the reach of children due to the
risk of suffocation.
• Dispose of packaging material immediately accordingtolocally
applicable regulations.
• The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
• Use the product for itsintended purposeonly.
• Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heatersorother
heat sources or in direct sunlight.
• Do not operate theproduct outside the power limitsgiven in the
specications.

Warning –Batteries
• When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity(+and -
markings) and insert the batteries accordingly.Failuretodoso
could result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
• Only use batteries that match the specied type. Keep the
instructions for the correct choice of batteries included withthe
operating instructions of devicessafefor futurereference.
• Beforeyou insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and the
polarity contacts.
• Do not allow childr en to change batteries without supervision.
• Replace allthe batteries in aset at the same time.
• Do not mix oldand new batteries, or batteries of different types or
from different manufacturers.
• Remove the batteries from products that arenot being used for
an extended period (unless these arebeing kept ready for an
emergency).
• Do not short-circuit batteries.
• Do not charge batteries.
• Do not burnbatteries or heat them up.
• Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter
the environment. They can containtoxic, environmentally harmful
heavy metals.
• Remove spent batteries from the product and dispose of them
without delay.
• Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and at
extremely low atmosphericpressures (such as at high altitudes).
• Ensurethat batteries with damaged housings do not
come into contact with water.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
4. Getting Started
4.1 Inserting the battery
• Remove the battery that wasalready inserted intothe clock,remove
the protective lm if necessary as wellasthe contactinterrupter and
the re-insertthe battery with the correct polarity. The clock is ready
for operation.
4.2 Replacing the battery
• Remove and dispose of any used batteries. Insert thenew battery
(AA). Ensurethat the polarity of the battery corresponds to the
symbols in the battery compartment.
5. Installation
Youcan mount the wallclock on awallusing the opening on the back.
Warning –Mounting Note:
• Beforemounting the clock, ensurethat the chosen wallissuitable
for the weight to be mounted, and make surethat thereare no
electrical wires, water,gas or other lines at the installation siteon
the wall.
• Purchase special fastening materialsfromspecialised dealers.
• Do not mount the product above locations wherepersons might
linger.
