• The product is intended for private, non-commercial useonly.
• Use the product for its intended purpose only.
• Protect the product from dirt, moistureand overheating, and only use it in adry
environment.
• Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specications.
• Do not use the product in moist environments and avoid splashes.
• Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters or other heat sources or in
direct sunlight.
• Do not use the product in areas wherethe use of electronic devices is not permitted.
• Do not place the product near interference elds, metal frames, computers, TVs, etc.

Warning –Batteries
• When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and -markings) and insert
the batteries accordingly.Failuretodosocould result in the batteries leakingor
exploding.
• Only use batteries that match the specied type.Keep the instructionsfor the correct
choice of batteries included with the operating instructions of devices safe for future
reference.
• Beforeyou insert the batteries, clean the batterycontacts and the polarity contacts.
• Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision.
• Replace allthe batteries in aset at the sametime.
Warning –Batteries
• Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different types or from different
manufacturers.
• Remove the batteries from products that arenot being used for an extended period
(unless these arebeing kept ready for an emergency).
• Do not short-circuit batteries.
• Do not charge batteries.
• Do not burn batteries or heat them up.
• Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment.

• Remove spent batteries from the product and dispose of them without delay.

atmospheric pressures (such as at high altitudes).
• Ensurethat batteries with damaged housings do notcome into contact

• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
4. Getting Started
4.1 Inserting the battery
Remove the battery that was already inserted intothe clock, remove the protective lm if
necessary as wellasthe contact interrupter and the re-insert the battery with thecorrect
polarity. Theclock is ready foroperation.
4.2Replacingthe battery
Removeand dispose of any used batteries. Insert the newbattery (AA). Ensurethat the polarity
ofthe battery corresponds to the symbols in the battery compartment (18).
5. Installation
Warning –Mounting Note
• Beforemounting the clock, ensurethat the chosen wallissuitable for
the weight to be mounted, and make surethat thereare no electrical
wires, water,gas or other lines at the installationsite on the wall.
• Purchase special fastening materials from specialised dealers.
• Do not mount the product above locations wherepersons might linger.
• Youcan mount the wallclock on awallusing the opening on the back (12).
• Youcan also stand the wallclock on alevel surface using the base (13).
6. Operation
Note –Input
Hold down the UP button(16) or the DOWN button(17) to select the
values faster.
6.1. Automaticsetting using the DCF signal
• Once the batteries areinserted, the clock automatically searches foraDCF signal. During
the search, the wireless icon(11) ashes.

• If the station stilldoes notreceive asignal, press and hold the UP button (16) and the
DOWN button (17) for approx.3seconds to start the manual search forthe DCF signal.
The wireless icon (11) willstart to ash.
Note –Timesettings
• The search process takes about 3-10 minutes. If thesearch fails, it ends
and is repeated at the next clock hour.The wireless icon(11) disappears.
• In the meantime youcan, however,set the time and the date manually.
• The clock automatically continues to search forthe DCF signal on adaily
basis (between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.). If thesignal is received successfully,the
manually-set time and date areoverwritten.
Note – Summer time
The clock automatically switches to summer time. S (9) appears on the
display as long as summer time is activated.
