8Connecon to the mains

WARNING: To avoid any danger caused by accidental reseng of the thermal

cutout device, the appliance must not be powered by an external switching device,

such as a mer, or be connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and o.

• Electrical power cable: the appliance is equipped with a power cable which must

be connected to the home network. Find out the dierent connecon possibilies,

depending on the type of domesc power supply, from the relevant diagram. The

data plate also indicates the connecon voltage permied for this appliance and

the relave absorbed power.

Dierenal circuit breaker (life-saving)

The use of a residual current circuit breaker (earth leakage circuit breaker) with trip

current complying with current standards is recommended.

Separaon devices

In the event that it is necessary to use it, the hob must be connected to the power sup-

ply via an omnipolar disconnecon device that ensures a separaon between contacts

complying with overvoltage category III. Such a device must withstand the maximum

loads connected and comply with current standards.
