Switch off the appliance and allow to cool down
before all cleaning or service work.

Leaks on the glass ceramic hob
Never use a steam cleaner for cleaning.
Moisture could get into electrical components.
RISK OF SCALDING!
when using hot water for cleaning
Select the water temperature so that there is
no risk of scalding!
RISK OF CUTS!
when using razor-blade scrapers!
Razor blades are extremely sharp.
Glass ceramic hob
Clean the glass ceramic hob with a damp cloth
and wipe dry with a dry cloth.
Remove coiling from the glass ceramic hob with
hot water and detergent or a commercially
available glass ceramic hob cleaning agent.
Wipe up spilled food, food residues and
splashed fat immediately.
In the following cases, immediately switch the
power supply to "0" and
• in case of residues of sugar, clean the
surface with hot water.
• In the cases of small pieces of
aluminium foil or accidentally melted
plastic material, carefully clean the
surface with hot water and a razor-
blade scraper.
• Remove stubborn soiling using special
cleaning agents.
• Always follow the manufacturer's
instructions when using special
commercially available glass ceramic
cleaners!
14 Practical cooking tips
Below you will find some important tips on how
to work efficiently and save energy with your
new hob and the cookware.
• The bottom of the pot should be the
same size or only very slightly larger
than the diameter of the cooking zone.
• When buying pots, note that
frequently the diameter at the top of
the pot is indicated. The diameter at
the top of the pot, however, is
generally larger than the bottom of the
pot.
• Due to their closed cooking chamber
and the pressure, pressure cookers are
particularly rime and energy-efficient.
The short cooking time also conserves
the vitamins.
• Always ensure that there is sufficient
liquid in the pressure cooker, because
a pot that has boiled dry can damage
the pot and the hob due to
overheating.
• If possible, always close pots with the
matching lid.
• Use the right pot for the quantity of
food to be cooked.
