1. Plug the external hard drive or the
memory stick to the USB interface of
the television.
Notes:
• If you are using a power cable for the ex-
ternal hard drive that you have connected
to the USB interface, then the power
cable of the external hard drive shall also
be unplugged when the TV is turned off.
• You must not disconnect the USB Device
from the TV while a file on the USB
Device is being read by the TV.

10.4.1 Formatting the Data Medium
Important:
• Formatting external data medium causes
all data in the data medium to be per-
manently deleted.

2. Select Yes to confirm the formatting op-
eration or select No to cancel it, and
press the .
ð When the formatting is complete, the
Device Information menu is displayed.
10.4.2 Selecting Data Medium for
Record/Time shift
If more than one external data medium is
connected to the TV set, you can set differ-
ent data media for record/time shift or as-
sign both records to one data medium.
