Formatting external data medium
Important:

Formatting external data medium causes all
data in the data medium to be permanently
deleted.
1 Select »Format« from the »Device Info
Setting« menu with »

– A warning message shall be displayed.
2 Select »Yes« to confirm formatting;
or
select »No« to cancel formatting and
confirm with »

3 When the format is complete, the »Device
Information« menu is displayed.
Selecting external data medium for
Record/Time shift
If more than one external data medium is
connected to TV, you can set different data
media for record/time shift or assign both
records to one data medium.
1 Select »Set time shift« and/or »Set PVR«
from »Device Info Setting« menu with »

« and confirm with »

2 According to the selection you made for
the disc in the »Device Information« menu,
»TSHIFT« is displayed if only time shift is
selected, »PVR« if only recording is selected,
or »PVR/TSHIFT« if both recordings are
selected on the same data medium.
Notes:

You can connect two different external data
media to the TV and select one separately
as »PVR« recording and the other as
»TSHIFT« recording.

Functions do not work if no external data
medium is assigned for recording/time shift.
Testing external data medium
You can test the external data media to see if it
is suitable for the required functions.
1 Select »Speed Test« from the »Device
Info Setting« menu with »

2 After a short time the speed test result of the
external data medium is displayed on the
screen.
3 Confirm »Exit« with »
« to exit the Speed
Test menu.
Enabling and disabling the time
shift function
You can turn time shift off or on with this feature.

Time shift disc set-up
If you are going to connect an external data
medium to TV for the first time and use it for time
shift, a disc set-up is required.
Automatic disc set-up
1 Connect the external data medium to the
USB input of TV.
