When installing or operating the battery system, the safety information contained
in this section must always be followed. For safety reasons, it is the installer's
responsibility to get familiar with this manual and all warnings before installation.
2.1 General safety
Ÿ Damage due to force majeure, such as lightning, earthquakes, fire, and storms.
Ÿ Failure to follow the operation instructions and safety precautions provided in
this document.
Ÿ Tampering with labels on the chassis or modifying the date of production.
The inverter and battery has been designed and tested in accordance with
international safety requirements. As with all electrical or electronical devices,
there are residual risks despite careful construction. Before installing or using the
equipment, please read the instructions carefully and observe the all safety
precautions at all time. Growatt shall not be liable for any consequence of the
following circumstances:
Ÿ Damage during the transportation by the customer.
Ÿ Damage caused by improper operations of a third part or customer, including
those in transportation, storage, installation and use of the product.
Ÿ Unauthorized modifications or removal of the software package.
Ÿ The product's tamper evident label is removed or any item is missing due to
customer's negligence or intentional damage.
Ÿ Improper installation by unprofessional and uncertified personnel.
Ÿ Warranty expiration.
Ÿ Operating the equipment in environments that cannot meet the requirements
specified in this document.
Ÿ Damage caused by repairing, disassembling, and modifying the product
without authorization.
2.2 Safety Precautions
2.2.1 Environment Requirements
Ÿ Do not expose the equipment to environments where the temperature is above
50℃.
Ÿ Do not install or use the battery in a humid place with corrosive gases or liquids,
such as the bathroom.
Ÿ Do not expose the equipment to direct sunlight for extended periods.
Ÿ Place the equipment in a safe place and ensure that they are not accessible to
children and animals.
Ÿ Battery power terminals shall not come in contact with conductive objects such
as wires.
Ÿ Do not dispose the batteries in a fire, which may cause an explosion.

Ÿ For outdoor installation, please build a sun and rain shelter to protect the
equipment from direct sunlight, rain or snow.
Ÿ Do not put the battery in contact with liquids.
Ÿ For indoor installation, do not install the equipment in the bedroom, living
room, kitchen, etc.
2.2.2 Safe Operation and Protection Measures

manual strictly, otherwise it may cause device damage, personal injury and
property loss, or void the product warranty. Keep the manual handy for

11. Turn off the PV switch when installing PV modules during the day; otherwise
the voltage of the module terminal would be too high under sunlight, leading to
safety hazards.

equipment requires maintenance, please contact your local designated system
installation and maintenance personnel. Only qualified and trained personnel
are allowed to repair, replace or maintain the SPH system;
5. Before installation, replacement and maintenance, please remove all metal
objects that may cause short circuits, such as watches, rings, etc.;
2. Use appropriate measuring equipment when connecting or testing the system
to ensure the electrical parameters comply with requirements. Be sure to connect
and use matching specifications to prevent arcing or shock. Ensure that the whole
system has been reliably grounded;
