INTRODUCTION
Dream Salt above-ground salt water chlorination is a process that uses dissolved salt for the
chlorination of the swimming pools. The chlorine generator uses electrolysis in the presence
of dissolved salt to produce chlorine gas or its dissolved forms of hypochlorous acid and
sodium hypochlorite, which are already commonly used as sanitizing in pools.
The Dream Salt is designed for residential above-ground swimming pools. The actual amount
of chlorination required to properly disinfect the pool depends on the bather’s load, rainfall,
air temperature, water temperature, exposure of the pool to the sun, pool surface and
cleanliness.
