Firmware Update
Firmware updates for the transmiƩer can be done wireless over a WiFI
network or via the back of the radio using the micro USB port. When the
transmiƩer is connected to a PC the USB menu is automaƟcally shown.
For Įrmware update select the "Mass Storage" opƟon by tapping on the
Mass Storage icon.
When the “Mass Storage” opƟon is selected your PC will recognize the
transmiƩer as a disk drive.
All required programs and Įůes needed to update your Graupner products
can be found both in the directory "UƟůΗ on the mass memory of the
transmiƩer.
Copy the soŌǁare package labeled grstudio_x.x.x.x+setup.exe from the
transmiƩer's mass storage drive to your computer. When using Windows
Įůe explorer look for the “MZ-16 (X:) drive.
You can also download the latest soŌǁare from our website at
www.graupner.com
please note that the soŌǁare only works on Windows computers.
Follow the installaƟon procedures for the grstudio soŌǁare which will also
install new Virtual COM Port drivers to access the radio.
AŌer successful compleƟon of the soŌǁare installaƟon follow the nest steps
to update your soŌǁare:
1. Connect the mz-16 HoTT transmiƩer to a Windows PC or laptop via
the rear micro-USB port.
2. Switch on the transmiƩer.
3. Select "Mass storage" in the automaƟcally displayed selecƟon
display.
4. Start the program "grstudio_x.x.x.x_exe" on your computer.
5. In the secƟon "Transmitter" of the grstudio select the mz-16 Radio
Downloader opƟon.
6. You will have the opƟon to only download the Įrmware or also
resources such as voice Įles, help Įůes and other soŌǁare updates.
In case important resources ĮůĞ update are available you should
check the select download incl. resource opƟon. At one point you will
have the opƟon to select the languages available. Select your
preferred languages only as this will decrease the download Ɵme.
