DESCALE
DESCALE
After using the coee maker for a while, limescale will begin to build up inside
the machine. It is important to descale the appliance every 2-3 months. If the
coee maker is used daily, the descaling process should be done monthly.
1. Mix equal parts vinegar and water and pour the solution into the water
reservoir.
2. Close the lid and place the carafe on the warming plate.
3. Tap BREW NOW to start the brewing process.
4. When the brewing process is complete, fill up the water reservoir with
water and begin brewing again. This washes out any remaining vinegar.
NOTE: If an odor of vinegar persists, run another cycle with water.
5. Use a soft sponge and baking soda to remove stains from the carafe.
NOTE: If the stains remain, mix 1 cup water, 1 cup vinegar and ¼ cup of
baking soda and allow it to sit in the carafe overnight.
