• Ensure batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.
• If the device will not be used for a longer period, switch
the device off and remove the batteries.
• Remove empty batteries from the device and dispose of
them according to the applicable directives.
• The batteries must be removed from the device before
its disposal.
• You are legally obliged to dispose of batteries at your
dealer or at the collection points provided by the
responsible waste disposal authority.
WARNING of material damage
• You are not permitted to convert the device.
• Do not use the device if there are visible damages on
the housing. The device must only be repaired by the
service centre.
• Never press the buttons of the calculator with a pen or
another sharp object.
• Protect the device against:
- Dripping and splashing water - the circuitry could get
damaged.
- Heat and direct solar radiation - the housing could
change colour or get deformed.
- Dusty environment - the circuitry could get damaged.
• Heavy objects must not be placed on the device.
• Open fire sources, e.g. burning candles must not be
placed on or directly next to the device.
• Do not twist or bend the device.
• Do not carry the device in your pocket or somewhere
else where it could get bent while being seated.
• Do not drop the calculator and do not expose it to
severe impacts.
