CLEANING
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WarNING: Do not at any time let brake
fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, penetrating
oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals
can damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may
result in serious personal injury.
Electric products used on fiberglass material, wallboard,
spackling compounds, or plaster are subject to accelerated
wear and possible premature failure because the
fiberglass chips and grindings are highly abrasive to
bearings, brushes, commutators, etc. Consequently, we do
not recommended using this product for extended work on
these types of materials. However, if you do work with any
of these materials, it is extremely important to clean the
product using compressed air.
LUBRICATION
This product is permanently lubricated at the factory and
requires no additional lubrication.

Line will not advance
when using the Auto-
Feed.
Lines are welded to themselves.
Not enough line on spool.
Lines are worn too short.
Lines are tangled on spool.
Lubricate with silicone spray.
Install a new spool or line. Refer to Spool Replacement in
this manual.
Manually pull line- Refer to Manual Feeding the Cutting
Line.
Rewind the line-Refer to Line Replacement.
Line wraps around
drive shaft housing
and line head.
Cutting tall grass at ground
level.
Cut tall grass from the top down to prevent wrapping.
Motor fails to start
when trigger is
depressed.
Battery is not secure.
Battery is not charged.
To secure the battery pack, make sure the latches on the
top of the battery pack snap into place.
Charge the battery pack according to the instructions
included with your model.
aPPLICaTIONS
EDGING (FIG 12)
This trimmer can be easily converted to the edger mode.
1.
Remove the battery pack.
2.
Press the head rotation locking button (8) and hold.
3.
Rotate the motor head 90° clockwise.
4.
Release the locking button to lock motor head (12) in
the edger position.
WarNING: Never stand directly in the
path of the cutting line while edging. Always stand to
the left of the grass deflector to avoid thrown debris,
which could result in serious personal injury.
