AFTER USE
CLEANING
NOTE
Clean the appliance after each use to keep it in a safe and hygienic working condition.
• Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely.
• Do not clean the appliance with steel wool, strong chemicals, alkali, abrasive or
disinfecting agents as they may damage its surface.
• Do not immerse the motor unit in water or other liquids to clean it. Make sure
that no water enters the motor unit while cleaning it and that the electrical parts
do not become wet or damp.
• Never clean the motor unit in the dishwasher.
• Clean the motor unit with a soft damp cloth and a little mild detergent. Wipe
with a soft, dry cloth.
• Clean all parts besides the motor unit in warm water with a soft sponge and mild
detergent after each use. Wipe with a dry and soft cloth.
• All parts besides the motor unit can also be cleaned in a dishwasher. To maintain
the sharpness of the blades, we recommend hand washing.
• Be careful when cleaning the sharp cutting blades. To avoid injuries, the cleaning
water should be very clear, so that you can see the blades when washing them.
• To clean the blending jar and blade assembly easily and rapidly, follow the
below method:
1.
After use, reassemble the empty blending jar to the motor unit and pour approx.
400-500ml warm water into it.
2. Add a few drops of mild detergent to the blending jar and close the lid.
3. Operate the appliance in the Clean program.
4. Unplug the appliance and remove the blending jar from the motor unit. Rinse
the blending jar under running water and let it air dry afterwards.
• With their hard surface, nuts, seeds, beans and grains can leave micro-scratches
in the plastic, which make the blending jar appear cloudy over time. Our cleaning
tip below will keep the signs of wear to a minimum. However, these cannot be
completely avoided. The substances and minerals contained in the various foods
can leave a film on the inside of the blending jar and it may become discolored
or milky and cloudy. We therefore recommend regular and immediate cleaning. If
you mainly use carotene-containing foods such as carrots, tomato paste, peppers or
strongly coloring spices such as turmeric, the blending jar may become discolored.
When grinding grains, seeds, beans, rice, sugar, nuts and pulses, it will become
permanently milky. Some green vegetables, spices and protein powders can also
cause this appearance. This has no effect on the function of the blending jar.
