Connecting the control knob to the
connection cables
1. Connect all of the control knobs to the enclosed
connection cables.

The two connectors on the control knob are
identical.
2. Ensure that the plugs snap into place in the con-
nectors.
3. Connect the central control knobs to one of the
longer connection cables.
4. After installation, check that all of the plug connec-
tions are seated correctly.
5. To secure all connection cables after installation,
bend the mounting brackets on the retaining
plates.

Installing the appliance
WARNING‒Risk of injury!
Parts that are accessible during installation may
have sharp edges and may lead to cutting injuries.
Wear protective gloves.
The appliance is heavy.
To move the appliance, twopeople are required.
Use only suitable tools and equipment.
Install the appliance for air extraction mode
→Page21, circulating-air mode →Page21 or
circulating-air mode with circulating-air duct
→Page21.
Note:The appliance is only intended for flush install-
ation.
Installing the appliance for circulating-air mode
with adapter
1. For the circulating-air mode, use the adapter and
the odour filter.
2. Ensure that the clearance between the appliance
and the rear panel of the unit is between 10 and
80mm.
Attaching the adapter
1. Clean and degrease the adhesive surface around
the cut-out in the unit's back panel.
2. Insert the adapter into the outlet opening on the
rear of the hob.

3. Remove the adhesive tape's protective film from
the adapter.

Inserting the appliance into the worktop cut-out
1. Ensure that the connection cable is connected to
the appliance.
2. Carefully insert the appliance into the worktop cut-
out.

Aligning the appliance in the worktop cut-out
1. Use the enclosed spacers to adjust the circumfer-
ential gap between the appliance and the worktop
to a uniform distance of 1.5 to 2 mm.

2. Remove the spacers before sealing the join.
Screwing the retaining clips in place
Screw the enclosed retaining clips onto the work-
top and carefully onto the appliance.
Ensure that the hob is at the same height as the
worktop and the appliance does not slip.
Do not use an electric screwdriver.

Securing the adapter
1. Hold the adapter at the central holder and use the
side holders to slide it towards the unit's back
panel in the base unit, then affix it.

2. If required, also use screws to secure it.

Installing the appliance for air recirculation mode
with circulating-air duct
1. For circulating-air mode, use the seal, the circulat-
ing-air duct, the diffuser and the odour filter.

Securing the seal
Secure the enclosed seal on the flat duct elbow at
a maximum of 5mm from the edge.

Insert the flat duct elbow into the outlet opening
on the rear of the appliance.

Inserting the appliance into the worktop cut-out
1. Ensure that the connection cable is connected to
the appliance.
2. Carefully insert the appliance into the worktop cut-
out.

Establishing the pipework between the appliance and
the diffuser
1. Connect the components of the circulating-air duct
to each other.
Secure the flat duct pipe connector by enga-
ging it in place.
For an additional fixing, screw the flat duct pipe
connector together using 4 x PT4x8mm
screws for plastic.

2. Connect the circulating-air duct to the flat duct el-
bow on the rear of the hob.
