Important notes
Cleaning the notebook
Do not clean any interior parts yourse lf; leave this job to a service technician.
Only use cleaning products designed for computers. Normal household
cleaners and polishes can damage the markings on the keyboard and the
device, the paintwork or the notebook itself.
Ensure tha t no liquid enters the notebook.
The LCD screen very sensitive to scra tche s. Only clean the display
surface with a very so ft, slightly damp cloth.

► To prevent the device from being switched on u nintentionally, remove the AC
plug of the power adapter from the power outlet a nd switch off the battery (see
chapter "
Switch the battery off and on", Page 37).
The surface can be cleaned with a dry cloth. If particularly dirty, use a damp cloth that has
been dipped in water mixed with mild domestic detergent and then carefully wrung out.
You can use disinfectant wipes to clean the keyboard and the touchpad.
Ensure that no liquid enters the device.
► Do not spray any liquid on the device!
If liquid is accidentally spilled on th e notebook during use:
► Switch off the no tebook and remove the power adapter.
► Turn the not ebook over so as to let the liquid run out of it.
► Disconnect the battery (see Chap ter "
Switch the battery off and on", Page 37).
► Allow th e notebook to dry for at least 24 hours.
► If the notebook ca nnot be switched on after reconnecting the power adapter,
please contact our Hotline/Service desk.
