• Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in use. Boil-over may cause
smoke and grease spillage may ignite.
• Do not use the appliance as a work or storage surface.
• Do not leave any objects or utensils on the hob surface.
• Do not place or leave any magnetisable objects (e.g. credit cards, memory
cards) or electronic devices (e.g. computers, smart phones) near the appliance,
as they may be aected by its electromagnetic eld.
• Do not use your appliance for room heating.
• After use, always switch o the cooking zones and the hob as described in this
manual (i.e. by using the touch controls). Do not rely on the cookware detection
feature to turn o the cooking zones when removing cookware.
• Do not allow children to play, sit, stand or climb on the appliance.
• Do not store items of interest to children in cupboards above the appliance.
Children climbing on the hob can be seriously injured.
• Do not leave children alone or unattended in the area where the appliance is
being used.
• Children or persons with a disability that limits their ability to use the appliance
be instructed in its use by a responsible and competent person.
• Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance unless specically
recommended in the manual. All other servicing should be carried out by a
qualied technician.
• Do not place or drop heavy objects on the hob.
• Do not stand on the hob.
• Do not use cookware with sharp edges or drag cookware across the hob as
this can scratch the glass surface.
• Do not use scouring pads or other harsh abrasive cleaning agents to clean the
hob, as these can scratch the glass surface.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications
such as: -sta kitchens in shops, oces and other working environments;
-farm houses; -by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type
environments; -in bed and breakfast type environments.
• WARNING: The appliance and its accessible parts may become hot during use.
• Take care not to touch the heating elements as they can be hot after use.
• Children under the age of 8 years should be kept away unless continuously
supervised.
