Anti-Tip Installation
8.1
Installation of the anti-tip chain and
hook
To ensure range stability, the anti-tip chain and
hook must be installed into wood subfloor or wood
baseplate in the wall.
The following steps must be followed to ensure the
correct installation of anti-tip chain and hook for
the stability of the appliance.
It is not recommended to push and pull the
appliance on uneven or rough surface. Use other
means to maneuver the appliance if necessary.
To reduce the risk of tipping the appliance, the
appliance must be secured to the floor or wall
by the properly installed anti-tip chain, hook and
screw packed with the range. These parts are
located in the oven. Failure to install the anti-tip
chain will allow the range to tip over if excessive
weight is placed on an open door or if a child
climbs on it. Serious injury might result from
spilled hot liquids or from the range itself.
If range is ever moved to a dierent location, the
anti-tip device must also be moved and installed
with the range.

Level the Range
Level the range and set cooktop height before
installation.
1. Install an oven rack in the center of the oven.
2. Place a level on the rack as shown in below
figure. Take 2 readings with the level placed
diagonally in one direction and then the other.
3. Screw or unscrew the bottom part of the foot
until the appliance is stable and level on the
floor.
1. Locate the hook provided in the literature kit
needed for the anti-tip installation.
2. You may choose either the wall base plate
or the floor to install the hook. Use the
appropriate image from below based on the
type of installation you choose to select the
location for the hook. Drill the pilot hole of 1/16”
(recommended) diameter at 45 degrees for wall
mounting and 90 degree for the floor mounting
hook installation at the chosen location. Screw
the hook in the hole but do not screw it all the
way in. Remaining threads can be used to adjust
the tension in the chain.
