4. DOOR REMOVAL
4.1 Getting through narrow
spaces
If your appliance does not fit through an
entrance area, you can remove the doors.
Check first by measuring the entrance.
4.2 Removing/Installing
refrigerator doors
To prepare for removing the doors:
1. Unplug the electrical power cord from
the wall outlet.
2. Remove any food from the door
shelves and close the doors.
WARNING!
Make sure the electrical power cord is
unplugged from the wall outlet.
To remove refrigerator doors:
1. Open doors to 90°.
2. Remove all 5 Phillips™ screws from
top hinge cover and lift up. You can
easily access 3 Phillips™ screws. You
can access the other 2 screws by
removing the 2 panels from the top
hinge cover.
3. Trace lightly around the door top
hinges with a pencil. This makes
reinstallation easier.
4. Disconnect any electrical harnesses
running from the doors to the hinge
cover.
5.
Pull up on the water line gently to
remove it from the door.
NOTE
Be careful while pulling the water tube
from the door to be sure the tube does
not kink.
NOTE
You will pull approximately 4ft of water
tube from the refrigerator door.
CAUTION!
Make sure the doors are set aside in a
secure position where they cannot fall
and cause personal injury, or damage
to the doors or handles.
6. Remove the three 8mm bolts from
both top hinges. Lift the doors up off
lower hinges and carefully set them
aside.
