The SkyWatch is a highly configurable, highly mobile, self-powered manned surveillance platform
that users can rapidly deploy in both remote and urban environments. The SkyWatch comes in
two primary variants, a gasoline model and a diesel model, both of which can be configured with
either a one or two-man cab.
When deployed, the SkyWatch provides security officers with an elevated 360° view of the
environment, which can be enhanced with optional spotlights, thermal and visible spectrum
cameras, or ground surveillance radar.
2.1 GENERAL OPERATION
Personnel in the officer’s compartment control the SkyWatch, raising and lowering the officer’s
compartment, operating the payloads and the platform’s equipment from controls located in the
officer’s compartment. The SkyWatch can also be raised and lowered from the electrical
compartment at the front of the trailer.
2.2 CONFIGURATION
The basic SkyWatch platform consists of a trailer, an officer’s compartment fixed to hydraulic lift
arms, a generator to supply electrical power for remote operation, dual hydraulic pumps, and
various electrical components to support the system’s operation. The SkyWatch comes in one and
two person models. The table in section 2.5 shows the standard equipment and specifications for
each SkyWatch model.
Payloads specified by the customer can include thermal and visible imagers, ground surveillance
radar, laser range finding, target illuminators, and wireless radio command and control. Various
interfaces, sensors, and device controllers support these payloads and subsystems. The SkyWatch
can be configured with a wide variety of sensor and surveillance payloads of various types and
capabilities as well as a variety of area lights and surveillance spotlights.

surveillance or other payloads and accessories are found in their respective manuals.
