The use of a microwave oven must be done in
compliance with certain safety rules:
When using electrical appliance basic safety
precautions should be followed, including the
following:
WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns, electric
shock, fire, injury to persons or exposure to
excessive microwave energy:
1. Caution: The following rules limit the risk of burns,
electric shock, fire, injury or excessive microwave
exposure.
2. Check that the voltage of the sockets in your
home corresponds to that indicated on the
nameplate of the appliance, and that the
receptacle is properly grounded.
3. Do not fry food in the oven. Hot oil can damage
oven parts and utensils and even result in skin
burns.
4. To reduce the risk of fire in the oven cavity:
a. WARNING: Liquids and other foods must not be
heated in sealed containers since they are liable
to explode.
