Problem Probable Cause Remedy
Appliance does not
operate
Plug is not inserted or
the appliance is not
switched on.
Insert the plug into a
mains socket and switch
on the appliance.
There's no power in the
socket.
Test the appliance at an-
other socket which you
are sure carries current.
Power cord is damaged. Have the power cord re-
placed by Fakir Custom-
er Services.
Appliance does not vacu-
um dust.
Dust bag is full. Replace the dust bag.
Filter is dirty. Clean or replace the
corresponding
lter.
Nozzle, telescopic tube
or vacuum hose are
clogged.
Eliminate clogging. If
necessary, use a wooden
stick (e.g. a broomstick)
with a proper length to
do this.
The power setting does
not suit the ooring.
Set the power to the
setting suggested for the
ooring.
The attached nozzle
does not t the ooring.
Attach the correct noz-
zle.
The carpet/hard oor
switch is in the wrong
position for the particular
type of oor.
Set the carpet/hard oor
switch to the correct po-
sition for the type of oor.
Appliance operates unu-
sually loud.
Sucked-in particles clog-
ging in the air path.
Remove particles. If nec-
essary, use a wooden
