Mounting the MLC 55 Series Controllers
When the system has been cabled, configured, and tested, the MLC can be installed in a
wall or furniture. After you have made any desired changes to the faceplate or front panel
buttons and configured the buttons, mount the MLC to the appropriate type of junction
box or mud ring as described on the following pages.
NOTE: The MLC 55 RS and MLC 55 RS VC can be mounted to either a junction box
(not included) or a mounting bracket (provided). The MLC 55 RS EU, RS EU V, and
RS MK can be mounted only in junction boxes.
If you are using a junction box, each MLC 55 model requires a different type:
• MLC 55 RS — One-gang US junction box
• MLC 55 RS VC — Two-gang US junction box
• MLC 55 RS EU — Two-gang European (EU) junction box
• MLC 55 RS EU V — Two-gang European (EU) junction box, mounted vertically
• MLC 55 RS MK — One-gang United Kingdom (UK) external junction box (may not fit
in certain in-wall boxes)
ATTENTION:
• Ensure that the junction box is properly grounded.
