15 Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
CAUSE/REMEDY
The appliance
door cannot be
opened.
• A washing programme is running.
• Clothes are caught between the door and the door seal.
Appliance does
not start.
• Is there a power failure?
• Is the mains cable correctly plugged into a socket?
• Is the machine switched on?
• Is the Start/Pause button pressed?
• Is a start time delay programmed?
Textiles are not
spun at all or not
spun sufficiently.
• A programme without spinning or with reduced spinning
speed is programmed.
• The spin safety device has detected poor distribution of
textiles in the drum: Re-load textiles and programme a new
spin cycle.
Appliance
vibrates and is
too loud.
• Is the drain hose placed higher than 1 m above the floor?
• Have the transport locks been removed?
Appliance does
not pump out the
water.
• Has a flush stop been programmed?
• Is the drain hose frozen or blocked by dirt?
• Is the drain hose kinked or deformed?
• Is the end of the drain hose immersed in water?
• Is there excessive dirt in the lint filter?
Drum is blocked.
• Check if a piece of laundry is trapped.
