Cleaning the water inlet filter
Small particles such as limescale deposits, rust particles etc. typically collect in water
inlet filters. These particles can obstruct the water flow and impair the efficiency of the
appliance. The following cleaning is therefore recommended every six months/year.
1. Pull out the mains plug.
2. Switch off the water supply.
3. Unscrew the water inlet from the back of the unit.
4. Carefully pull out the water inlet filter using needle-nose pli-
ers, see illustration.
5. Clean the water inlet strainer under running water.
6. Attach the water inlet filter
7. Screw the water inlet in.
8. Switch on the water supply.
Check the water inlet hose for leaks. There must be no water leak-
age.
Clean the lint filter
The lint filter is used to catch foreign objects such as threads, coins, needles, buttons,
etc.
Clean the lint filter at least every 10 washes. Otherwise a drainage
problem could arise.
1. Pull out the mains plug.
2. Open the flap Fluff filter 3) at the bottom right of the front of the unit.
3. Pull out the drain hose and let the water drain into a container provided.
4. Unscrew the lint filter counterclockwise.
5. Remove all foreign bodies from the strainer.
6. Insert the lint filter and turn it clockwise. The lint filter must be tightly closed.
7. Close the flap Fluff filter 3)
The lint filter must be tightly closed. There must be no water leak-
age.
