11 Putting into operation
Clean the appliance before commissioning to remove any residues from production.
1. Open the appliance door and wipe out the drum with a damp cloth.
2. Place non-sensitive laundry items inside
3. Switch on the device with ON/OFF
4. Select REFRESH programme, press Start/Pause
At the end of the programme, remove the laundry and clean the appliance
according to the instructions in the Cleaning and care chapter.
During the first few drying cycles, there may be a slight odour because dust
residues (caused by storage and transport) burn on the heating elements. This
poses no risk to the laundry.
WARNING
RISK OF INJURY!
Parts inside the appliance can heat up to 60°C during drying. Allow the appliance to cool
down for a few minutes after use.
11.1 Sorting the laundry
Sort the laundry according to care labelling.
The care labels mean:
• Only dry laundry in this appliance that is suitable for tumble drying in accordance
with the care labels.
• Do not put any laundry in the appliance that is unsuitable for the appliance
according to the care label.
• Do not dry new coloured laundry together with light-coloured laundry as the
textiles could stain.
• Silk or woollen textiles are not suitable for tumble drying.
• Do not dry any products containing rubber, latex or foam rubber.
