11.2 Prepare laundry
WARNING
EXPLOSION AND FIRE RISK!
To prevent damage to the appliance drum and textiles, remove lighters and matches from the
pockets of the textiles.
Remove all items from the pockets of the textiles and observe the following:
• Tie fabric belts, apron strings etc. together or use a laundry bag.
• Close zips, hooks and eyelets and button up covers.
• Sort the laundry according to fabric type and drying programme for an even drying
result.
• Remove metal parts, such as paper clips, from the textiles.
• Knitted textiles, such as T-shirts and jerseys, often shrink when they first dry. Use
a gentle programme.
• Do not overdry easy-care laundry. This leads to increased creasing in the laundry.
• Only fill the drum about ½ full to ensure even drying. Mix large parts with smaller
parts.
• Do not "overdry" the laundry. It becomes hard and could become statically
charged.
• Use a fabric softener in the final rinse programme of the washing machine to
prevent the build-up of static electricity in the appliance.
• Dry delicate textiles in a pillowcase.

11.3 Function buttons on the control panel
Start preselection
The start time can be set up to 24 hours in advance.
1. Press the ON/ OFF button to switch the appliance on.
2. Select the programme using the PROGRAMME SELECTION BUTTON .
3. If necessary, select an additional function, e.g.CREASE PROTECTION .
4. Press the START TIME PRESELECTION button until the desired number of hours
appears on the display.
5. Press the START TIME PRESELECTION button.
6. Press the START TIME PRESELECTION button again and select the desired start time.
7. Press START/ PAUSE. The drying programme starts according to the preset start time.
8. The process then starts automatically at the desired time. To delete the start time
preselection, press the ON/OFF button and select a programme again.
