9.1 Intended use
The appliance is intended for private/household use. The appliance is suitable for washing suitable
textiles.
• Do not use the appliance for purposes other than drying textiles. The manufacturer accepts
no liability for any damage.
• For safety reasons, modifications or alterations to the appliance are not permitted.
• Only dry textiles that are suitable for tumble drying. Observe the care labels on the textile
labels.
• Drying textiles washed in water that are labelled as suitable for tumble drying by the
manufacturer.
• Do not dry unwashed laundry in the appliance.
• Never use the tumble dryer if the power cable or the control panel is damaged.
Any use outside these areas of application is not in accordance with the intended use and is
therefore considered improper use.
9.2 Improper use
The following activities are considered improper use and are therefore prohibited:
• The appliance is not suitable for commercial use.
• Do not connect the appliance to the mains power supply using multiple socket strips (Fire
hazard).
• Do not route the mains power cable under voltage.
• Do not kink the mains power cable.
• Set up the appliance so that the mains plug is accessible at all times.
• Do not pull the mains plug out of the plug socket at the mains power cable.
• Do not use the appliance to dry textiles that have recently been treated with chemical
cleaning agents (e.g. white spirit, stain remover). Explosion hazard! First air the laundry for
some time.
• Never use the appliance if you believe it is damaged in any way.
• The appliance is not suitable for outdoor use
9.3 General safety instructions
• Always switch the appliance off after use.
• In the case of an emergency, switch off the fuse immediately.
• Transport the appliance only in the original packaging materials to avoid any personal
injury and/or material damage.
• Install and connect the appliance only in accordance with the description in the instruction
manual.
• In an emergency, pull the plug out of the plug socket immediately.
• The mains plug and socket must match.
• Do not exceed the recommended maximum load.
• Never use the appliance if you believe it is damaged in any way. Under no circumstances
should you attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
• Always unplug the device if it is to be left unattended for long periods (e.g. at weekends,
on holiday, etc.)
• The back of the appliance becomes hot during operation. Position the device so that the
back cannot be touched during operation.
• As the surface of the appliance becomes hot during operation, do not touch it.
• Do not place any dosing aids in the drum during drying. The parts could melt during drying
and damage the dryer and the textiles.
